Fused glass wardrobe handles
Posted on
I have wanted to make some glass handles for my new wardrobe doors for ages! Thank you lockdown for giving me time to make and fit them. I redecorated my bedroom last year in neutral colours (very unlike me - I do love a bit of colour), linen coloured walls and carpet. I found a stunning Indian bedthrow in a Camden Lock shop when I last visited; it's a rich patchwork of reds, ochres and other natural colours. I already had a patchwork Turkish runner on the floor in similar colours, so the colour inspiration for the handles came from these.
I'm so pleased how they came out. They really stand out against the plain doors. I love an excuse to get the power tools out too.
They are simple to make, so if you fancy making a pair for your home, why not book a workshop with me? I'm always happy to make things for you, of course, but I love to encourage others to get creative themselves, too.
Lockdown is rather restricting workshops at the moment but I will be releasing dates later in the year. Hopefully, by then my brand new garden studio will be ready. More about that later. x
